Promotion of best practice in the creation and management of landscape

SCOPE

Hard and soft landscape creation

Landscape management and maintenance (hard and soft)

All materials production and supply (including plants, soils, soft and hard materials) associated with the above

All workmanship associated with the above

All associated activities, issues, influences (eg earthworks, contamination, health & safety, pests and diseases, water supply, climate change, parks, Urban Space, Liveability, public realm and facilities management, research, training, …)

AIMS ie how promote best practice

Produce best practice documents and initiatives

Adopt/support best practice documents and initiatives produced by others

Promote best practice documents and initiatives produced or adopted by JCLI to everyone involved in landscape by the dissemination of information.

Build on the existing JCLI name and reputation as producer/supporter of respected unbiased documents and initiatives

Raise the profile of JCLI

Prioritise issues, focus on current issues and issues where JCLI can make a difference.
